Why does Corsair/Logi/Hyper X/CM not use doubleshot?

I know it's more expensive but they charge so much and try so hard to make it seem premium they could at least make doubleshot so the keys dont wear away instantly

Sometimes I like to game in the dark and backlighting would be helpful.
Now I'm using a blank HHKB so it isn't so useful.
According to Geekkeys I think, lube pic related.
The sliders may also be lubed. From mechblog.org:
>I’m hoping this is the case. It isn’t really changing the feel of the board, but hearing the noise every so often when typing is kind of annoying. I ended up lubing the slider rails with a Krytox GPL206/VPF1506 mix and whilst it has made the board feel a little smoother and quieter sounding, it hasn’t changed the whoosh issue at all. *Update: I have since took the board apart again and lubed the Topre stems with the same lube mix. It has almost completely solved this issue. 2 or 3 keys on the bottom row in the center of the board when pressed on their own still makes the sound but quieter than before, but whilst typing it’s pretty much all gone. Definitely recommend thinking about lubing the slider rails and the stems if you are experiencing this issue.
Not a great numpad for functionality, but it looks pretty.

You can rest happy knowing that they are statistically more likely to shoot their family and / or themselves than anybody else.

And just like everybody else who ends up dong so, they'll think that other people who end up doing that are stupid or careless. It would never happen to them XD

The coloured keys are CMYK modifiers by GMK.

I don't know what the complicated alphas are, sorry

Ducky One TKL RGB, 100 mx clear switches, and 100 62g springs.

Was hoping for my weekend project to be setting it up as an ergo clear board.

>> No.58484520

Yeah I also knew about the modifiers but these alphas are amazing

>> No.58484586

Eh. I have time and a soldering iron, and then I'll have a new board set up exactly how I want.

>> No.58484620

Saving this. I just bought a new board but I already want that one for school

Anyone know how to stop dead skin all over my keyboard and mouse? I sit at my computer all day everyday and it just builds up so fast. Used my keyboard for a couple of months and the keycaps have some skin on them, I am using PTB doubleshot keycaps and its a pain having to scratch the dead skin off

>> No.58484839

You just need to translate the buying options. Or ask a Taobao agent to do it for you.

>> No.58484955

Take better care of your skin so it's not so flakey. No reason dead skin should accumulate that fast.

>> No.58485233

lotion up, i guess, I have teh same problem except mines worse - i ahve scalp psoriasis and really mild psoriasis through out my body. For me there's no way to avoid having dead skin cause my scalp is always itchy, i'm not suppose to scratch but c'mon! which is why i bought the data vac duster blows everything up in a jiff.

Why is it that purportedly pacifistic, nonviolent antifuns are actually the most violent, masochistic, sociopathic people? You don't see gun owners advocating barbaric murder like this. This is deranged behavior.

Are they antifun because they are terrified of what they would do with a gun?

will o rings/ortho bands make keys less sensitive/increase actuation point? i have gat browns and i just hate that i keep on hitting caps lock ;s

>> No.58485323

Not that I know. O rings just reduce the key travel and reduce the clack.

>> No.58485420

is there anyway to reduce the actuation point, make they key for stiffer per se, outside of changing the switch (i cant into sodlering

Learn how to solder, it's not difficult at all.

Or just get a keyboard with heavier switches.

Or learn how to type accurately, I get 95 WPM on 35g linears.

>> No.58485755

Not really, they're just a middle child between (subjectively) more interesting switches. Browns are fine, but I personally find them boring and a bit bland to type on. However, I would still choose them over reds any day.

>> No.58485787

Decent, but there are potentially better options out there for your cash. I don't like the glossy finish personally. However, I think the das II has a nice chunky look to it.
