Lord Marvel is running a little slow, about -20s per day. May need to either degauss or adjust. Despite the slight inaccuracy, there's nothing quite like watching a 36000 bph sweep. I kind of want to make an exhibition caseback to show off the movement but I have no idea how, or where to start, and I wouldn't want to ruin the one that came with the watch.

I've tried it with my old Seikos, things look a little off when you try to squeeze 20mm straps onto a 19mm springbar. 18mm would indeed look goofy.

Help me out watch nerds :^)
Looking to spend some birthday money on a decent watch, and thought you could suggest or help me pick.
Prefer a metal strap, plain silver. No coloured watch face either, prefer white or close.
I really like the ones where strap is kinda thin compared to the watch itself, not the massively chunky ones.
Noice clean design really, and I'm looking to spend less than £150. If I don't get one or find one I really like with that kinda style I'll get pic related - thanks!

>> No.56950512

The WUS review that shilled this thing said that the PVD is really high quality, since this is actually a $200 watch that is being sold for pennies for some reason.
I had a PVD timex and abused the fuck out of it with none of the coating scratching off, so I think people scratch up their chink watches and then apply that to everything.

The SKX has the same movement as the Seiko 5's, so about equally robust.

Amphibia's are a real gem as even if you hit it with enough force to snap the fucking rotor (highly unlikely) off it'll likely keep working as the base mechanism is basically a Soviet workhouse movement produced nowdays on old Soviet tooling.

Plus, with proper regulation they can easily do +5/-5 secs per day since they are somewhat unaffected by different positions, a trait that both ChChz and 1MWF watches share.

That being said under the assumption you didn't get one that missed Dimity and Ivan's drunken QC process.

I've tried working with the WUS autists for a bit but they are also divided as to what exactly were looking at.

What it appears to be is a 1942 ChChz movement, with civilian hands that were repainted with luminous material during the war and an aftermarket dial made somewhere between 1946-1952. Case also appears to be ChChz.

Movement is keeping time surprisingly well.

Maybe a lil bit, i bought a couple of Poljots automatics on somewhat of a binge and i expect to sell one of them. Another options is taking pretty pictures and selling them on WUS for instant shekels.

This is really sad, try not dating a girl who keeps in contact with her exes. The probable scenario in your situation is that he dumped her and she's waiting to somehow someday get back with him. It's rare to find a girl who goes out of their way to coment on an ex;s purchases on facebook if this isn't the case. Meanwhile you are an emotional if not physical cuck , she will never bond with you and will leave you some day in the future. No one in this scenario respects you, not her, not anyone on facebook that is witness to this cucking

My watch :)

That watch is awesome! How much is it?

>> No.56969329

Yes, a bit sad.

Can you afford a Speedmaster? Those will last you for life, far longer than the average marriage these days. Indicate discretely it is something special. Which is true. Only when she asks you can tell her a Speedmaster was used on the Moon. (even if you don't buy the exact model, it will be related).

And it is a rather nice watch.

On a board where most anons talk about watches under 300$, and watch shows talk over 1000$ it's hard to say if its poor or just reserved. Prices do get out of hand fast for watches, but I personally do not know anyone else in my circle of friends who theirself have spent over 300$ on a watch. As gifts or inherited expensive ones thats another story. But honestly a lot of decent mechianical watches start around 100$

I really like this watch

The only problem is I work in a factory dealing with moving heavy things and pressing buttons on machines.

Do you think the watch is too expensive for that? Would you ever do it? I don't really want to spend that much on a watch I can't wear most of the time.
