cant suggest much, but I can't stand your bar (tint2?) config
Change your 4chan css and it's a 10
get rid of the dock and it's an 8.5
I like the idea, and it's executed well. Nice job
Needs more gradients

lol, exactly. i don't like central planning, but it kind of helps if people can just agree on a standard at least. the problem is that there are a bajillion attempts to make standards through toolkits and stuff. GNOME is the best UI/UX example to come out of the mainstream linux community.

That's why ricers are despised, they want something better, so they make it themselves, and others don't have easy access to it.

It's their clothes and bodies. I don't care. You're the one with the problem. But I wouldn't expect you to understand that.

Nationalism is completely different than a fucking distro logo. This logo represents openness and freedom. You could say the same thing about the American flag, but people aren't fighting literal wars over Linux distros, and you can't just fork the Constitution and make your own America or LXDEmerica. Try it, you'll end up being accused of treason and rebellion.

If you don't think this is true, then what is better? Please don't say KDE, because it is horrendous. GNOME != Unity btw.

But I am thankful that I was spoonfed. However, >>41123076 's thing did not work, so i am rather frustrated.

Flattastic needs the murrine and pixbuff engines, install them.

Heh. You are using a cannibalized distro that was never meant to be minimal. I guess everything that happens to you here is your fault.

I really want to use SELinux :(
After reading about how Steam looks at your browser history, I need muh fine grained security.

>> No.41123445

Yeah this too. It's possible but minimal deb install or crunchbang would be better suited for what you're trying to do.

>> No.41123458

Shit is too complicated, I want something that already has policies in place for everything in the repo like Fedora.

If you have a folder with nudes, all of your apps can read them and send them to some perv on the other end.

SELinux prevents this from happening because you can deny the app permission to even access files.

>> No.41123574

Or deny it permission to use the network for that matter.

You can thank the coffee shop hipsters for your device being more vulnerable really. It always has been, devs just didn't write as much malicious software for macs as they did do$. Is there a slimmer chance if infection? Sure. But don't deceit yourself by thinking your 100% safe.

since we're on the topic of viruses, how secure is a clean install of arch?

>> No.41123653

Probably as secure as any distro not security-oriented.

>> No.41123672

Fairly secure as long as you don't download crap on it. Use iceweasel as well. With all linux systems, if you get your packages from the repositories then you are safe. Download your music etc on a seperate machine and test them before moving over to your primary machine. Don't run torrents in your main machine either.

>> No.41123691

>don't run torrents
not even what.cd torrents? i never use public trackers
why iceweasel? isn't firefox just as secure?

>> No.41123809

It is. I was just asserting a preference in there.

>> No.41123838

If you feel safe running what.cd than by all means do so. It's a bit safer than completely public torrents. Just remember any one can pose and be invited if they wanted to.

>> No.41123878

>Arch is secure.
>what.cd is safer than public.
