hey /g/, what was the last version of utorrent that was OK?

>> No.10789552

Whats your problem with the current one?

>> No.10789570

>> No.10789573

0.1 alpha

>> No.10789582

i heard the guy who owns the source code or whatever was pulling some bullshit with the newest ones
(then again i did hear this on /g/)

>> No.10789602

µTorrent was bought by BittTorrent Inc some time ago. Ever since people went insane.

Just use Deluge.

>> No.10789631

I heard it prefers uTorrent peers over other clients, but other than that I'm not aware of anything. Only people who seem to care are a couple of private tracker fags who have banned any uTorrent 2 version.

If thats a problem for you, the last version before that was 1.8.5 Build 17414

>> No.10789639

The latest one. Anyone can use wireshark and see that it is safe

>> No.10789650

thats the one i was using before. just wondering if there was a newer build that was safe

>> No.10789714

any other clients as good as utorrent minus botnet and retarded torrent shaping i need to turn off manually?

it'd be nice to have a heirarchical file browser while the torrent is downloading where u can set files to download/dont download. utorrent's is one big list.

java clients need not apply

>> No.10789743

one thing i always hated in utorrent was the fact that under the files tab, every file is displayed with no directory structure. looks like deluge does this, so i might give it a shot

>> No.10789764

the single biggest thing i miss from OSX is transmission. best torrent program ever.

>> No.10789963

trying delugen now

fucking needs gtk runtime. not a good start.

>> No.10790083

I am using the version 2.0.2 and have experienced zero problems.

I have heard people bitching about slow this or that. My experience has been that speeds are completely dependent on number of seeds and their connections/speeds.

Example-I started three almost identical downloads two days ago. One was done in about 5 minutes. The second took about 10 minutes. The third is still downloading. None of the seeds are on.

I am also seeding 26 files.

So, whatever.

12.3MB/sec, 50 possible GB every night, for 15 cents per day. That equals 1,5TB for 6.99€

OH and enjoy having your financial and personal info on record for when rapidshare eventually gets busted.

>> No.10790568

I believe 1.6 was the last version before it became the facebook of torrent clients.

>> No.10790576

Because RS will betray its customers and report them to the police.
yeah right.
Torrents are for 14yo kids.
Also I need something to saturate my 100Mbps Internet connection, 20TB data-station and 1080p projector.

>> No.10790614

lol thinks rapidshare is his best friend and will break the law for him

also, maybe instead of doing nothing but watching movies all day you could get a life, and maybe then you wouldnt need to pay2pirate lol

Did you know: Something outputting video at it's native resolution is now called "saturating" it, because morons heard the term and want to apply it to everything.

Summer, summer, summertime
Time to sit back and unwind
Here it is the groove slightly transformed
Just a bit of a break from the norm
Just a little somethin' to break the monotony
Of all that hardcore dance that has gotten to be
A little bit out of control it's cool to dance
But what about the groove that soothes that moves romance
Give me a soft subtle mix
And if ain't broke then don't try to fix it
And think of the summers of the past
Adjust the base and let the alpine blast
Pop in my cd and let me run a rhyme
And put your car on cruise and lay back cause this is summertime!

Summer, summer, summertime
Time to sit back and unwind
