That's what you deserve for not using an OS that respects your freedom.

I need to develop a tool that helps non-technical humanists transcribe historical documents.
I coded an automatic layout and text recognition but now im concerned about the gui.
First thought was to develop a desktop application (which is a requirement) using wxPython but another requirement of the project is the integration in online platforms (which only allow web apps).
As Im the only person allocated to this project maintaining two separate code bases (one for the desktop app and one for the web app) seems like a lot of effort. Im not a big fan of electron, but due to the limited ressources i thought about using it on this specific project.
What do you guys think?
