Hey /g/,

old mac minis seem fairly cheap on ebay, are they worth it?

>Server issues today were 100% related to an operating system upgrade (Mac OS X 10.7 Lion) gone wrong, and has absolutely nothing to do with CloudFlare. The CloudFlare pages you see are cached versions that only show when the backend servers (our servers, a Mac Mini cluster) go down. Every single CloudFlare error in the past month has been on our end—not theirs.

Honestly I don't know what's dumber, a cluster of Mac Minis or a reassurance that moot will switch to Windows Server.

>go to the Apple store
>purchase something
>take it home, take out out of the box.
>return to the Apple store for more

I've done this NINE TIMES, (in different stores) got 12x MacBook Air's (shit ones, but none the less), 15x Mac Minis, four iPhone 4S's, and nine MacBook Pro's.

What have you done, /g/ ?

See computer at office place. Notice that its dual-core 2.2 Ghz, W7 64 bit, but only has one memory. This is why its so slow. Recommend spending a few dollars to upgrade the memory and possibly put linux on it (since they just use it for office and email).

Now I see they have a mac-mini. That's about 600 dollars. Should I be raging at the waste of money?

I'm planning on buying a Mac Mini (inb4 Macs suck. I want to do iPhone/iPad development and they make working from home more convenient).

The only thing that stopped me from buying one a month ago was the fact that Mac Rumors says it is due for an update, but it has been months since it was due for an update. Should I keep waiting or just buy one?
