Yes. I've influenced three friends to purchase ThinkPads and two of them use Linux. One uses Arch Linux and a very similar i3 rice to my own.

Why does Lenovo use such awful TN displays? I was looking at other brands and none of them seem as bad as Lenovos. I recently upgraded my T440p from TN to a B140 1.2 AHVA panel which is great but looking at some relatives and friends laptops with TN panels I was amazed at how g ood their viewing angles are for TN whereas Lenovo/IBM viewing angles are so bad even being straight on the outter perimeter of the screen has gamma shift on anything bigger than 12 inches.

anons, are thinkpads a meme? i'm thinking of buying a brand new laptop soon max budget 1500 euros and considering an i7 T480.
I'll be mostly doing programming. However I noticed I could get a consumer-grade laptop with same specs for much less and it'll be doing the same job.
