The hell was the point of this, /g/?

Felt like a worse Plan 9 when I tried it, and actually forces you to use its special snowflake language. Was it just a tech demo for Limbo?

Has anyone used Inferno to do anything interesting?
Or even just installed and tried it...
I'm impressed that it can run on something so small as Nintendo DS (only 4 MB RAM) where even Linux struggles to fit.

inferno's greatest improvement was the adoption of a UI that was not yellow and cyan. the remaining yellow/cyan programs could be easily changed to be anything but bright yellow and cyan.

So GNU/Linux is going down the tubes.

First the whole systemd shitfest, now this Matthew Garrett SJW tard is on the FSF board, and no good can come of that.

I give you the solution, /g/.

INFERNO OS.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inferno_(operating_system)

It's the successor to Plan 9, it's GPL'd (except the fonts, but obviously those can be replaced) and all it needs now is us, /g/.

We can take the GPL'd version of this and turn it into a proper distro. This could be bigger than debian. Hell, if we do a good enough job of it, we could cough up for a commercial license and create the next Red Hat.

Look into it and tell me your thoughts, /g/.

What about Inferno?

Inferno applications are written in a language called Limbo.

Other than absurdity's sake, does Plan 9 boast any advantages over Inferno?
