The strap won't hide how hideous that bezel is.

>/wt/ Toronto Watch Guru dude (he also does mail-in if you cannot find someone local to service your vintage Seiko).

Wait, what the fuck, why didn't any of you cancuks mention Shane does mail in work?

Now i'm considering to ask him whether he would do an international order to fix my LM special's calendar.

Komandirskies are found on eBay, you buy them directly from Russia. Model number should be 811306

Though i don't get something here.

The Komandirskie is a 30~35$ watch while the SNK809 usually goes 50$. So just skip a couple of instant noodle meals, won't be that harmful.

Also, SNK comes with a more or less decent strap from the start while for the Komandirskie you will have to spend shekels for a new strap.

Plenty of models, but too many to just throw off the top of my head. Do your own research, and occasionally either me or one of our JDM collection canuks will answer.

Or you could get the one i just posted, currently up for sale on WUS.

Polar Explorer looks like a 12-year old tier watch. Batman bezel'd stainless steel GMT master is a nice choice.

Or get either a chronograph or a vintage JDM watch.

ayyyy back for a lil while longer.

Parts LM special has arrived, but no case wrench so i can't really pop it open.

Looks pretty good though, the dial is definitely salvageable.

A Mido Commander, some models have lugs hidden under the case. Or a Raketa "world time" with the 2628 movement.

Also, back for a couple of days.

Or you know, like my somewhat self repairing 5206.

Got it, the day wouldn't switch at all and it would gain 5 minutes per day. Let it running for a couple of days and it stabilized to +2 sec per day. Tingled with the day date and it started working but slowly from 12AM to 4AM.

Now after a bit fucking around with it, 5 days a week it instantly jumps to the next day at 12AM.

Luckily i scored a parts movement to scavenge the calendar mechanism and keep for parts for any further 52XX's i'm going to get. It should actually have a really good looking green dial.

Fair enough, i'll try to get another LM special but with a different looking dial, likely going to get my quite nice Aussie proxy buyer to search for one instead. I'll likely end up paying about the same, since he gladly helps me avoid import taxes.

Which oddly enough were recently changed, so if it's a used watch valued under 300$ i seem to get no taxes at all if they are said to be paid(?) or some bs like that.

>>54894103
Mine was off said proxy seller via WUS, but that's a whole other story.

Ebay isn't a bad bet if you can snipe them for sub 130$.

>>54894721
Nope, no instant date change.

>>54894082
So nothing to the kike who set you up with you LM special?

And no, i'm not Canadian.

>>54894722
Every watch unique, interesting and uncanny movement made pre-2000 or before they started to resort to Richard Mille tier designs.

Mostly just the Indians doing this kinda of crap. Really easy to spot and avoid as well since they do a shit job.

Though you can easily see if they have polished the original markings off the movements, since there's usually a big plop of metal that is out of place and doesn't look like the original brushing.

>>54832297
It's either me or one of the Candians that usually collect these JDM pieces.

5216 is the best bang for you buck hi-beat that you can get.

52XX cals area definitely worth it, though the other ones i recommended are also pretty good.

One thing about the 5206 cal is either pay a lil more cheaply or modify it with the 5216's strengthened day/date parts.

I think Strapcode has a 20mm the ones with the 2,5mm fat Seiko springbars.

Price is subjective, but that's what it will cost for a non dogshit bracelet.

Not really.

I'm the resident Shlomo, and i'm saying this because we had a couple thousand Somali asylum seekers.

We basically threw most of them into an interment camp in the Negev, and their options were to stay there for a long while (5~8 months) to be "checked" and accepted officially as asylum seekers or leave somewhere else. There were a few on the streets for a short while, but when they start causing trouble the police rounded them up real quick. (Besides those who learned how to hide)
