Hey /g/,

I'm developing an iOS app on Hackintosh and soon will be publishing it. Problem is - I'm poor and I don't have a real Mac. As far as I know dev certificates are tied up to particular machines, so in theory Apple could find out the situation and ban my account for violating ToS.

Should I be worried? I can trade my PC to a shit-tier Mac Mini, but I'd rather not to.

I never owned an Apple product. But I believe OSX to be the best desktop/laptop OS after years of running Linux.

Has anyone experience with Hackintosh stuff? I want to install OSX on my T420, but don't understand how I can make a bootable USB with only Windows. I don't have any kind of Mac.

>WHY YOU SHOULD AVOID TONYMAC:
http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/
basically: tonymac software uses outdated kexts, clover, methods, patches; they install them in awful legacy locations; they install too many of them; they're closed-source, hide everything from you, mess with local system directories/files, make troubleshooting a nightmare, and don't credit the real devs, they steal kexts to the point where in most beast installs you can get a message telling you to not support tmac in the boot log.

>why macOS instead of linux?
-best of both worlds (proper third party support)
-simpler experience
-compatibility with *nix applications
-developing iOS apps
-Safari
-the built in applications such as automator, wireless diagnostics, amazing screenshot utility, iTunes et cetera
-reasonably secure

Anyone running a hackintosh machine currently?
I'm totally sick of Windows 10. I'm running GNU/Linux on my chromebook and my desktop but I still need a computer for doing music prod with ableton and cbf fussing around with Wine or anything like that.
I don't want to fork out for a macbook so I was thinking of grabbing a thinkpad x220 or similar and installing Mac OS.
Any tips from those more experienced in these ways than myself?
Also hackintosh general.
