Bash:

I have a text file with two columns, the first with hashes and the second with filenames. The file is sorted with sort.

I want to use comm to compare this file with another sorted file but this file contains only hashes and because of this comm says that it's not in sorted order because one file contains two columns while the other contains only one.

How can I fix this so that the hash/filename pairing isn't messed up?
