kek, I didn't buy it anon. It's a local hackerspace that has two of those great machines.

Though I'll end up building a laser-engraver for home-use some point down the line.

My first board was a cherry mx board 3.0 with browns, with the wrist rest it was 80 bucks. It's funny to think back of how I thought it was absurd to pay seventy bucks for a keyboard back when I bought it. My model m was 120 bucks with shipping, nearly half of that price being the damn shipping, I think the most I spent on a board so far was my shine 4 which I sold recently, with the import costs and shipping and doubleshot translucent pbt caps I got for it, it totals somewhere around 300 bucks.

I haven't tried anything in the direction of laser cutting yet, though I probably will once I get on to making some custom layout. I'm not a massive fan of sandwich-style cases, though alas, I am currently in the process of making one myself.

Now if only GMK sets would be available for a hundred or so I would be a happy man.

It's an improvised footrest that I was using at the time, just a pillow in a box with a towel over it. Not all too amazing.

here's another one

Ah yes, I forgot that these cherry switches are tiny SMD components and not fat ass THT contacts.
And yes, I'm very worried about frying them with static, that's why they're considered to be so extra durable. Because they're really tiny and sensitive to static.

You should be able to tell from the label in which direction the fan blows, which would tell you that a carbon filter in that arrangement makes no sense.

Anything else I can help you with?

Clears are vastly superior to browns.

There's no option for clears because cherry only makes the most common switches as a part of their RGB lineup.

Seconded. Good luck anon.

At least I found a use case for my Shine 4 again.

Logitech has yet to produce a mechanical keyboard that isn't a piece of crap. The g710 had a non-standard bottom row, was known for dead LEDs and broken keycaps.

The g910 uses some failed attempt at redesigning mechanical switches.

The g610 doesn't only have a non-standard bottom row, the stabilizer placement is also non-standard.

Cooler master, on the other hand, is actually known for producing mostly good keyboards (except for the quickfire TK and the rapid-i)

That being said, don't let me stop you from throwing your money away.

I would have had some use for a numpad, but then again, I can always just take out one of my keyboards that has one.

Though maybe I'll make another one sometime in the future, those teensy clones with atmega32u4s are dirt cheap.

not to mention the fact that anyone'd think that anyone would actually use that as their computer. I don't see how people constantly keep getting triggered by that picture.

Your syntax was actually quite ambiguous on that matter, some punctuation would've made it clearer.
Though given the pretext to this, I'm guessing you had trouble finding the correct keys for that.
