Here is one thing to note: The sound of bottoming out is louder then the actuation mechanism of the switch. If you do want something quiet and tactile then get a dampened switch like matias qc. The only good keyboards with those switches are the ones made by matias

I was focusing about your mention of blues and not browns. You were factually incorrect about blues and that is why I labeled your opinions as trash. I've seen your posts a couple of times before and you always have that same filco with those shitty keycaps. Its clear now that you shouldn't be talking about keyboards. Though feel free to continue gun posting as that is the only thing you seem to be good at.

>you cant use them at night because they are so loud
What? they're like only a couple decibels louder, unless you bought one of those gaymer keyboards that purposefully make them louder

depends. if you get a floating design then browns would be louder then a standard keyboard with blues

Those will help, but razer uses shitty keycaps and a floating design so they are some of the loudest keyboards out there

Thats false. The sound of bottoming out is louder then the actuating mechanism of the switch. Having thicker keycaps, o-rings and not using a floating design will have more of an effect on sound then on what switch you are using.

For that low of a budget you aren't gonna get any quiet mechanical keyboards. The best you can do is maybe buy some o rings for a dollar on ebay. You see the thing is that the sound of bottoming out is louder then the actuating mechanism of the switches

no that's just a rubber dome.
Its loud because you hammer down the keys with your fat fingers.

Just so you know the sound of bottoming out is louder then the actuation mechanism, and thats especially true on mechanical switches

are your walls made of cardboard? If they are then it really shouldn't matter since the sound of bottoming out is louder then the actuating mechanism. I've got a model m and even the people in the room next door can't hear me. Then again my walls are cement board with plaster on them

I hate to break it to you, but qisan has a floating key design like razer stealth, so its much louder then other keyboards. Also the keycaps are just as thin so don't expect your co-workers to appreciate your presence

You see the problem here is that the sound of bottoming out is louder then the actuating mechanism of the switch. O-rings do indeed make a difference

razer uses really thin and crappy building materials on their keyboards.
You can see that even though its using brown switches it is also the loudest. If you think blues are too loud then get some o-rings for a dollar on ebay

there really is no optimal switch and the noise their actuation mechanisms makes doesn't really matter since bottoming out the switches is louder.

Now blues are tactile and clicky, while blacks/reds are linear, and browns feel like reds with sand in them.
