I mostly watch Tim Dessaint and Ken Iijima. Does anyone know other youtubers with similar styles? Thanks lads

>> No.14553259

Only Ken Iijima.

>> No.14553338

They don't necessarily have similar styles but some of the lesser known ones that I watch are Ray Miah, Alek Augustin, dnielmrtnez, Greg Ntore and Nicholas Roethel. They don't upload often so your sub box doesn't get filled with videos.
Others I watch are Sangiev, Magnus, Owen Hyatt, Anthony Deluca and Daniel Simmons. PAQ can be fun as well

what do you guys think of his Vuja de pieces? imo they‘re decent but super overpriced

>> No.14553823

>>14553810
not the biggest fan of the pieces but those are just some personal opinions nevertheless i really fuck with the background of it
but yea its overpriced and also since im from europe that even fucks it more

>> No.14553828

>>14553810
I like the cargos but not for $350. I'd do $250 max.

I like the philosophy behind the pieces thought and I thought it was interesting one of them referenced in praise of shadows in one of their posts.

I like them but I agree with everyone, a bit overpriced.

Also I am not sure how I feel about the paint marks on the garments. On one hand I like that it is unique but on the other hand I kind of wished he just released them as basics, without the paint and luxury price tag

>> No.14553928

I agree that the philosophy behiond the pieces is pretty good. Doesn‘t justify the price tag sadly. >>14553881
Also agree with this, they just look to DIY to me. Both the paint splatters and the distressing. You could do the same with a vintage champion hoodie at home.

Do any of these talk about fashion and how to get better at it? Fashion/Brand history? Not only streetwear stuff and showing off their new cops and pieces

>> No.14553970

>>14553956
The only fashion youtuber I can think of who really talks about fashion history is a guy called The Fashion archive, I‘m not a huge fan of his personality though. If you‘re interested in brand and designer history I recommend @Threaducation on instagram, they have a lot of in-depth posts (as in-depth as one can get on IG) on designers, brands and fashion shows

Dude wants nearly 400 for some bootleg helmut trousers lmao shit should be 150 max. I don't know whats up with these youtubers thinking they can charge designer mark up prices for their clothes. Same with that Jacob J Keller guy too. Dude wants $380 for a fucking sweater. I get that alot of process and work goes into making this shit but goddamn I can get actual designer shit cheaper than that.

As much as /fa/ probably hates him whoisjacov is probably the youtuber with the most fair prices for his brand. Dude takes fucking forever to ship though

I own a pair, a friend bought them for me when he was in japan since they are around 50% of the european and american prices there. If that sounds like something you can afford, look around for proxies. Ken used to offer it back when he had around 5k subs, I don't know of he still does it, maybe just dm him on instagram to find out. I don't know any alternatives, but I can only recommend Homme Plisse!

>> No.14554038

I asked ken to proxy for me once since I heard its WAY cheaper in japan and he said it would cost $400+Shipping. I can find some on ssense for less than that

>>14554030
yeah wanted to mention Bareknuckles as well. I guess Ronning is fine as well since they don't take 3 months+ to ship your clothes and the pieces don't have the same prices as ones by established "legitimate" designers and fashion houses

damn didn't know he rips his viewers off. Like I said I paid around 110€ for shorts that would have cost 260€ on farfetch. Also if you're a tourist in japan you don't have to pay VAT which is nice

Ken doesn't dress well and he doesn't know much about fashion. He is a hypebeast who went from gucci tracksuits to busting in his pants over how great japanese culture and the fashion scene. Japan number one, check out these curated pieces, this is the type of shit you can only find here in japan, some notice some know this. Reeled everyone in with his first few videos because he featured coveted pieces and now all he does is say vague shit about fashion as if he has supreme knowledge, guy is like avery tier without the fagginess and actual knowledge.

basically this, his personal style is all over the place and he is attracted to hype thats why his fits are never really good, despite having good pieces on. Even his full pleats fits seem awkward.
