V, W, WWD, CR, Dazed and Confused (especially online), Interview, international Vogues can be interesting, if even just for the editorials. Purple is always good. I used to like Bullett but not too much anymore. Pop, Schön, Numero, Suitcase, 10, Hunger are great to pick up when travelling but not really worth paying for in North America

I have a subscription to Wire magazine and I try to look at the editorials in Inventory when I can. 032c has some neat editorials too.

Go to a foreign magazine store or a decent bookstore. Run your fingers over the pages of Dansk or Zink. Realize that there's more to the realm of fashion magazines than the glossy, celebrity-studded editorials of Vanity Fair and American Vogue.

If you don't have access to them, look at editorials from more independent magazines on The Fashion Spot (particularly for magazines you haven't heard of). Notice how styling breaks the Condé Nast convention and how photography and photo editing are used to portray clothing or accessories, not always models. Notice how ads for luxury vehicles don't have to invade the experience of reading a magazine. Some publications are beginning to explore the intricacies of print, choosing printing techniques to convey texture, or using matte paper to enhance photographs. Some experiment with the way that the text interacts with the page, and how it interacts with the reader. Magazines now have the opportunity to engage the reader with a unique, tactile experience. If these techniques are used properly, it's easy to see why screens won't quickly replace their importance in the fashion realm.

032c is ok

they are all very good. not rly too much fashion. like a fashion + art hybrid

i-D is classic and has been the go-to trendy mag since the 90s. a lot of people don't know that and just dismiss it as another Vice.
