If people are going to link brothel creepers to any subculture, they'll link them to the Teddy Boy culture.

They just give a different look than dress shoes.

I personally love wearing creepers with skinny black jeans and a T shirt. It's a very simple outfit for day-to-day activities but has a sense of "uniqueness" to it.

It also brings me from 5'11 to 6'0, so that always feels good too.
