A lot of people here - I daresay the majority - buy designer clothing on sale or secondhand. It would be quite expensive otherwise for most teenagers.

To add onto that, Off-White is already expensive for what it is ($400 for a hoodie with stripes) and it's hard to find secondhand.

I wouldn't call it "shit" by any means though. I don't really care for the whole fuccboi scene but one still has to acknowledge that Abloh's work is very interesting. Off-White is one of the few brands that are successfully bridging the gap between luxury and streetwear, and that alone deserves some merit.

It IS easy to dismiss pieces like these as "tacky" or "stripy square game ridiculous," and I also think they are in all honesty.

I wouldn't wear them.

But Off-White IS undeniably innovating streetwear; even on these weaker pieces, you can look at the painted stripes, the colorful patches sewn onto military clothing - and realize that there are very few other streetwear brands heading in this direction artistically, and that Off-White does deserve the attention it gets.

You've probably seen the jeans a lot of times

Note how the stripes on the bottom are actually something NEW that Off-White has brought to the table -- they didn't just paint stripes randomly all over, and they're not just making run-of-the-mill denim with holes like so many other designers are doing.

I really like it. I think most people have a negative opinion of it due to the first couple of seasons where everything was printed on cheap Champion blanks or RL Rugby overstock (and overpriced as fuck).

Recently though, Abloh has moved production to Italy and the designs have gotten much more interesting. I personally like ow the branding and stripes stripes add to the design but can see how it's not for everyone. I definitely like the womenswear (especially the Nebraska stuff like Beyonce wore) more than the menswear though, as the menswear is usually just worn by fuccbois to show off.
