just try to avoid all black outfits or dark wash black garments. my gf who is a pale redhead wears mostly things like blue stonewash jeans, white/grey t shirts and sometimes colours like mustard or dark red. avoid wearing orange.

i think with red hair a good tip is let your hair be the flare (yes i just made that phrase up lol). but yeah, wear washed out colours like beige, white, stonewash blue, dark grey, grey... let your hair be the most exciting part of your outfit

because white, blue, dark grey look like ass on people with warm undertones. Many redheads have warm undertones, just because they're pale doesn't mean they're cool-toned.
If you have darker red hair with warm undertones you may or may not look good in black (I do, many do not) but you will almost certainly look better in autumn colours mentioned above. Some look better in bright, vivid colours. Those are called Springs. Others look better in muted, darker shades. Those are Autumns. It's nt a steadfast rule or anything but a general rule of thumb.

Girl in OP for example would look better in an army green shirt rather than a white one. The one with too much ass would not. The reason those twee tumblrinas with red hair look so good in autumn colours is because many of them are warm-toned and it makes their hair and other features pop.

Look at what colours suit you best. Or do the vein trick but that's fairly unreliable. Tbh I just put it on and look at which colours make my face/hair pop, which are meh and which look terrible. Then you just look at all of them and see what they have in common (are they mostly muted? Light? Pastel? Warm? Etc)
