Are Iron Rangers worth 215? Shoe buy is having a 30 percent sale off. Also is there a store that would meet and beat that making them even cheaper?

i just went to shoebuy, and its 20% off, not 30%. also, it says "participating brands only" . red wing heritage line is not one of the participating brands. get your facts in order cunt

These are definitely in the heritage style of denim wear. I think their workboots are their best products, but these are good quality also. It's just very hipster circa 2011, faux lumberjack look. If you're not in a trendy area people won't notice.

For 215 I'd say go for it. Mine have lasted me about six years now and they're still in great condition.

My opinion: brown (i.e. amber harness leather or equivalent). I find black a bit too much and can't bring myself to pull the trigger on them for some reason. Brown is much more classic.

No, they're still on the first sole. I wear them 5 days a week, though daily use only really involves walking around downtown, nothing too heavy.

Sorry for the delay on this. I don't think they look as good - too dress-boot-like, which has to be done carefully. The bending near the laces is rather unattractive as well.

That shot makes the boots look bad because they are new and aren't broken in. Abuse the fuck out of them for a few years (with generous polishing/LP in-between) and they will be prettier than anything you could ever want.

>> No.9859524

>>9859506
True. I honestly don't have the commitment to do that. I have so many fucking shoes that are like-new because I rotate through them so often they never have a chance to break in.

Aha, that might be a problem then. Boots like these tend to be a lot like raw denim in that they require affirmative effort to make them nice. I managed to break in a pair of mine from wearing them nearly-daily during a bad snowstorm a while back - if you don't have opportunities like that, the boots may not be for you.
