What do you guys think of wearing military surplus clothing? What about clothes from another country's military?

>What do you guys think of wearing military surplus clothing?
If it looks good why not?

>What about clothes from another country's military?
Why would it matter which country's military it's from?

I like milsurp as long as the fit is good. The only "catch" about wearing milsurp is some people get very sensitive depending on the articles that you pick. I don't mean medals or anything like that, but even something that you might find visually interesting like wearing trousers with the blood stripe will get some people in a knot.

IDF shirt from WAYWT. Is this acceptable? Or are liberals gonna get mad?

I mean you'll probably look like a fag in camo. But if it fits it's whatever. Personally I'd only go for the outer wear, non camo, but do you.

just don't wear medals, insignia, patches, etc that you didn't "earn"

i believe that's called stolen valor

1) Avoid camo overload. (There are plenty of colors available in surplus gear, so no excuses.)
2) Do NOT wear medals or insignia. Do NOT wear anything with a name still on it. Even if no one calls you a criminal, it's an incredibly douche-baggy thing to do, and your relationships with people on a day to day basis may suffer ("What do you mean it's not yours?"). Invest in a seam ripper so you can remove these patches.
3) Learn to wear it. If you want to blouse your pants, buy blousing garters and go Google how to use them. Don't just shove your pants in your shoes and call it good.
4) Don't be an idiot. Wearing fatigues & a headscarf that conceals your face in a crowded city is a good way to be either arrested or shot, depending on where you are. I love techwear and other cowl-friendly fashions, but this is a TERRIBLE idea. Most stores and banks will actually demand that you leave if they can't see your face.
5) Bulletproof vests and tac vests are not fashion items.

You fucking don't wear them. It's like going around town in a fucking McDonald's get up. It's a uniform for a job, not a fashion statement.

Excuse me, I'm going to go make a thread about Best Buy surplus clothing stores now.

I do like some milsurp stuff, and no question that aspects of modern fashion take inspiration from military clothing. By way of example, military jackets (e.g. the m65), sweaters, etc.

That being said, camo sucks, never wear any badges, and pair it with civilian clothing. Otherwise you look creepy.

where can you even cop a m65, it isn't sold anymore

I've heard some people have had good luck at used milsurp stores, but that's only what I've heard. You are correct in implying they are in short supply nowadays.
