Why not ignore trends and enjoy life dressing simply and comfortably?

>> No.9825125

>simply and comfortably

sounds like the 2015 trend

>> No.9825133

relatively harmless distraction from the banality of ur meager existence.

Because I enjoy being dressed in a certain way and the feeling of being neatly dressed is more satisfactionary than actual physical comfort imo.

Because it is human nature to want to feel beautiful.

Everyone who says they don't care about looking attractive is lying.

Why do you think Jewelery is ALWAYS found in archaeological digs of cavemen? Fuckers died in their 20's, had to fight every day, and they still couldn't resist putting sparkly shit around their necks.

That's not what OP is saying. Plenty of people look and feel beautiful without resorting to trends that last 15 minutes.

You know, it's called simple basics. Stop trying to justify that you waste all your money on memeclothes.

100 percent this.

>anon why are you spending hundreds on clothes?
>you'll look just as good if you go to Macy's or something

Other than the fact that buying more expensive clothes has made it easier to find stuff that fits, it feels good man.

Besides, it isn't like most trendy things are uncomfortable. Especially winter clothes. Warm and cozy for days

there's no simple basics that always look good though. the further back you look in time, the more different people dressed because clothing changes. sure, trends come and go and probably have little effect on clothing in the long run but they help construct what's the popular look for a given time period and together shape the future of clothing. with how things have changed and how polos have become closely associated with office/jobwear, its doubtful they'll stay a casual basic piece forever.

I've had my fun playing dressup. Spent thousands of dollars on muh fashunz when I was in school. I still like to wear clothes that fit well, but nowadays I'm all about amassing money to live a comfy life and go through some great experiences in my 30s.

I think the menswear/streetwear scene is great to be a part of when you're young, you'll just realize after a while that it's just a bunch of cycles repeating every few years or so. It's a great conversation piece every once in a while with the right crowd.

Don't be one of those people who spend thousands on jawnz and then don't have money left to enjoy life. Better to be young and poor than old and poor.

There are certain things that simply don't go out of style unless you are age 18 or below and have very specific tastes. Well fitting basics and jackets are all you need.

I try to get old clothes and things whenever possible. Generally old military things are my favorites. It really won't ever go out of style.
