I agree with 6' but i've seen black guys and heaps of asians who look probably better than whites in long coats. Actually come to think of it, tall Asians definitely do it best and honestly I'd probably say it's a tie between blacks and whites, but maybe blacks have the edge because of the fedora factor when white people wear them

i mean if we're talking about utilizing long coats in the effay way, not the traditional over-the-suit business look, then yes, tall is important.

5'8, 50kgs (16.9bmi) here, I wear a black coat similarish to pic that comes to just below my butt. It fits pretty well and I wear it with a plain sweater and slim (verging on skinny) chinos. I've only ever gotten compliments on it but overall haven't really received much feedback. Do I look like a tool effay? I'm tan btw (half maori, half irish genetically)

That would be 6' with the heels of most shoes, so you are probably okay as long as you have the body type for it.
