I've got a pair of Iron Rangers, and have worn them on a couple of three-day hikes. Not ideal hiking shoes, lack of traction occasionally an issue, but nowhere near as bad as their made out to be.

Why do I see so many listings that open with this exact phrase:
>Just bought this from another Grailed user but it didn't work out. Re-selling it for what I paid. Original posting:

I know, people just try and resell stuff but it's suspicious as hell that they all use the EXACT same sentence.

ya it's the auto phrase if you use their resell button for something you bought from them.

I work in an office and I wear steel-toed workboots every day, a pair of Doc's and Wolverine, but they are hella comfortable.

They are also functional as hell, I don't need to care about getting them dirty, and they will last a very long time

Iron Rangers are nice but they are a total bitch to break in if you are prone to blisters.

I'm gonna soak mine in water and go on a hike with them later today. Will report back on how well it works.

For my Red Wings work boots, I wore them, located the hot spots, soaked them in warm water, and pushed out the hot spots from inside using the rounded portion of a ball-peen hammer.

Then flexed em a bit and let em dry. They've served me well for 4 years. Gotten the shit beaten out of em, though. Good time for new boots, since I'll be in an office setting more often, soon (Have to dress "nice", but still have to bust ass...).

Really have to get to a Red Wings store.

are they really that bad?

>> No.9782755

>>9782720
Yes.

Admittedly, my preference in clothing is primarily functional, with style being nice but wholly secondary.

That said, it's pretty obvious when a company is all form and no function. And lately, there's a lot of companies that do just that.

No one wants to pay for working quality, anymore. They just want to latch onto a style, even if its slapped together with dogshit.

I have to say, my fellow /fa/ members; that the clear winner of this debate is the Clark's Desert Boot in my favorite color Beeswax.

There was never a boot so sublime, but intangibly congruent; nothing says class like the chukka. They belong in any mans wardrobe, and get better with age; like fine wine and my intellect; but I digress.

Just my opinion good sirs.
