I've been skateboarding since I was 14 and turn 30 tomorrow. The idea that it's something you need to give up as you get older is total bullshit. It's not something I do everyday, but every once in a while I'll get the old crew together and we'll drink beer and skate a mini ramp. So much fun.

I'm into longboarding, but most people think longboarders are skaters, and skaters are oddly venomous to longboarders.

It's not a really /fa/ considering you're probably going to destroy your clothes if you're going hard, and the community is pretty safety oriented so if you're bombing hills without a helmet other longboarders will chew you out. Skating seems like it's much more edgy and counter culture if that's what you're into.

I ride a Pennyboard but only to work/uni, can't fit my regular board in those modern tiny lockers.

Too beta to ask the receptionists to take care of my board every day.

They are overpriced, have a shit image but you can make some decent speed on them.
