i would assume the hate is because they are not very exclusive (so they automatically lose e-cred) and the stuff is cheap, and can be found on sale for stupid prices

quality is extremely hit or miss though. some items feel worth much more than their price, and other items feel like normal cheap crap. i have a few tank tops from them for skating and other warm summer activites, and the quality is even inconsistent between those. one is very droopy and jerseylike, and the other is normal cotton

the cheap/available combination makes it attractive to plebs, giving a negative rap
