Well, you clearly have a receding hairline, but that's not always a disaster. "In this case, fine" is the operative word here - you hair is basically unobjectionable but also not impressive.

A buzzcut could work. You could also grow what you have for more volume on top (just don't comb it over the receding areas.) You're also a good candidate for designer stubble or a beard.

I have thin, dry fucking shithair. I've been no--poo for 3 months, "washing" with cold water every day and using conditioner twice a week (after my hockey games).

I use coconut oil at night and rinse out in the morning. Been doing this for ~2 weeks.

Not seeing a whole lot of improvement thus far.

What type of product should I be using to style it? Had Suavecito Firme Hold Pomade but was too aggressive and my hair is too thin for the "separated" look. Tigi Matte Workable Wax had the same effect. Tea Tree Styling Creme doesn't hold very well.

I mean that my grease acts like hair wax. If I comb it, the locks all combine and stay combined. My curls straighten and stay straight and I end up with a thatched roof on my head.
It's not grease-grease, i.e. it doesn't look wet, more waxy.
I wash around weekly with baking soda to kill grease and an ACV rinse to kill frizz.

Okay, guys. I know I've come into hair threads in the past saying I was gonna buzz, but you guys talked me out of it last time. I still kinda want to but I'm gonna weigh some other options first.

The only reason I'm cutting it is because of one problem: the shaved part is shaved up too high. Not enough hair falls naturally downward in the back. I have to make a little bit of hair that naturally goes forward go backward to make the back fuller. How would I go about fixing that? Should I cut the top down to about half of what is and get a fade on the back and sides until they catch up? That's the only other solution I can think of other than buzzing it.

i've got like 6" to 2" hair from front to back for a sort of relaxed side part/slicked back style which suddenly thinned all the way from my hairline back two inches over the scale, mostly in the literal middle of my hairline, all over a month or two without my hairline actually moving at all

When growing hair out, how short should I keep the sides while growing the top? I currently keep my sides very short (1-2 buzz), with the top long and brought back. I heard that an easy way to grow hair out is to keep the sides trimmed and let the top grow out, then putting it into a bun while the sides fill in. Anyone have any experience with this?
