Go to your local sporting goods supplier and find a Buck 110 Hunter folder or 112 Ranger. Used in the military and field workers for generations and it's quite cheap. It has a classic jack-knife look if it's looks your worried about aesthetics.

If you want a blade for self-defense, I would advise against that. Knives are no good for self-defense. They can get you deep trouble.

the problem is mainly the handle being very small, they sell models with a little thing attached to the handle to make it thicker and comfier but they're 20 dollars more for a knife i think is already overpriced. You could wrap the handle with something if you really want to, I use the knife as a money clip sometimes and it's more comfortable when I'm holding it with money wrapped around the handle.

I'm Sardinian. Sardinia is a small island off the coast of Italy, with a reputation only of the Emerald Beaches and their world-class knives.

Pattada and Oliena make the best knives. Pattadan knives are handmade with razor sharp steel and ram horn handles. They are very practical. Sheep herders and fisherman use them daily, so you know they'll last forever.

They are expensive af though. Also I wouldn't buy one online unless you're speaking to one of the few families who make them, in which case you'll be charged 500-1500 euros.

If you don't know what you're doing, it's probably useless. If you're using techniques taught through Silat, you could be in legal trouble for ripping some dude up.

Also for what it's worth, I've been told that because of the curve, there's more blade length fit into a street legal karambit. If it were a straight knife, it would surpass the legal length.
