Ayyy /fa/

The bar i work for is hosting an 80's themed party, and the staff are supposed to dress the best to really get our customers in the right mood.

The only problem is that I'm too nxtlvl to actually think of anything myself!

TL;DR: /fa/ goes back to the 80's, give me what you got inspo wise!

Where do you live OP? The 80s revival fad was getting phased out in favor of 90s revival a few years ago.

But anyway here ya go. The most 80s and goth pic in my /fa/ folder.

Classic example of 80s art-school hipsterdom.

>tfw you'll never live in a big city apartment in the late 80s, wear obscure poet tees and chill with underground musicians while listening to 2 old war vets yelling death threats at each other.

Most likely they'll make you dress in garish stereotypical 80s fashion. If you dress like how normal people actually dressed in the 80s, they'll say you don't look the part.

You must be a barrel of laughs at a party.

This is true though, I don't want to wear the white suit and big ass neon afro.. And this is actually what people think was the norm.

I'm curious if anyone is actually an eighties child here with some memory of the era?

Anthrax and late 80s skatercore. Bill & Ted films are good source of inspo that too.

I know this one guy at one of the local malls who always dresses like that. Loud paintball splattered pattern board shorts, equally loud wrap-around graphic tees and high-top chucks. Like the fit but He seems kinda sperggy and in his late 20s. It doesn't suit him.

Just find the typical type of suit/barteder attire they wore at the time and go for that I guess.

30-something year oldfag here and I was mostly in kindergarten in the 80s but it was mostly tight high-waist jeans with baggy tees tucked-in, rat-tails, jheri-curls and muscle shirts. Not very extraordinary.

Plus I lived in the tropics so most youth fashion was loud colorful surf fashion and edgy skaterpunk designs with skulls and grafitti designs as stated above.

Big brands I remember were:
>Bad Boys Club
>Gotcha
>Bodyglove
>Rusty
