Anyone here have any experience with them? Worth the price?

I got one of the midweight terry pullovers, feels extremely nice. I got it for 120 and it was definitely worth it.

>> No.9679370

i have midweight terry hoodie and t-shirt, imo their sweats are nice but other stuff is overpriced.

Can you recommend me something else then?

Got 2 of their midweight terry zip hoodies a while ago (black and heather grey) for 60€ each. Totally worth the price and way better than any hoodie I've had before
Bought them at dope-factory.com

Fantastic. It's really the same stuff as Wings + Horns, but they buy larger quantities of a narrower range of fabrics and then switch out the nicer Riri zips for the solid (but definitely cheaper) YKKs. It's amazing how much you can control costs when you control the manufacturing process entirely.

Worth the price is subjective. I don't feel it is. Seems grossly overrated here imo. It's not bad at all, but if you're asking whether it's worth the money and are wringing your hands over it you'll probably be disappointed. I only buy it when I can get it on sale.

Shills please go

I got one of their shirts on sale for $20. It is XL though so I wear it around the house but it is really comfy.

Would recommend.

Got the black crew neck on sale for about 80, definitely worth it. They seem to have a decent amount of end of the season sales with a lot of sizes. Maybe wait a little?

quality is real nice, but yea as others have said if you're buying at full retail and this is one of your first relatively high clothing purchase you'll prob end up disappointed. cop on sale, they're usually in stock during sale season at most retailers

>> No.9682993

>>9682806

It's not amazing quality because the fabrics tend to be pretty generic (outside of the really great heavyweight terry which so few others brands attempt, much less do well), but fit and build quality and finish is excellent for the price. It also holds up well and is pretty error-proof in both care/washing and styling, which is why so many people recommend it to anons when they ask for a starting place when they want to make little upgrades to their wardrobe.

Sea to Sky is really solid and is where folks should look if they want interesting design within the Reigning Champ world. Otherwise, if you want more to your garment, then just buy Wings + Horns at least.

RiRi zips are overrated. RiRi zippers are the equivalent of choosing a LV bag over a Celine bag because it's LV

>> No.9683017

>>9682997

Well the big difference for WH/RC is that the Riri's are two-way. And YKK makes really awesome stuff, too. I love the feel of an Excella and love the grip on the pulls.

>> No.9683022

>>9683017
Oh no I agree with you, but it irritates me that people and companies try to sell RiRi as this great detail when it's really not.

>> No.9683030

>>9683022

I just find them to be really consistent in quality. Not amazing, just very low failure or defect rate.

>> No.9683061

>>9683030
Isn't that more of a matter of their range rather than their build? YKK seems to offer zippers at different price points and build. I've noticed YKK's that have the same weight as RiRi's are pretty equal.
But, I'm studying this so I probably have more to learn.

>> No.9683087

>>9683061

Yeah. Riri just pretty much sticks to a few major constructions and offers different sizes/gauges while YKK has a huge offering for tons of different applications with lots of pulls, tapes, etc. It just feels to me that Riri focuses on doing its handful of things really consistently, which is fine by me.

one appeal of RiRi's (at least for me) is the shine that just isn't found in the same wayon YKK's metal zips. YKKs are great, but the RiRi's practically sparkle and are super resistant to tarnishing.

>> No.9684180

>>9684170
RiRi and Lampo are nice, but they're kinda like Gucci and Prada imo. Raccagni seems to be pretty highly regarded.

>> No.9685899

>>9684170

I love heavy-ass Talons. They're no longer made in the USA, but certain gauges have such a great heft to them and the zip feels so good when it closes the teeth. IDEAL is also pretty great.

i have raccagni super Rs on my rick jacket and id say its the smoothest and sturdiest zip ive ever handeled, i dont really like riris, they feel solid but are hard to zip up, excellas are nice but get caught at times, lampos are sort of like raccagnis but they have some issues when unzipping.

>> No.9689797

>>9689780

If you ever have trouble with a zipper, just rub a regular pencil on it. The graphite is a perfect non-oil based lubricant and unless you're doing it on white clothing, you can't even see the powder. Instant fix and makes any unpolished zipper operate much smoother.

Lightweight, midweight or heavyweight sweatshirts?

>> No.9690147

>>9690122

If you're in a very hot/humid climate, the lightweight is great for summer nights. Being in a Mediterranean climate myself, I see no reason to buy anything other than the heavyweight terry/heavyweight fleece, especially given how great they look when they break in and crease and age.

Enh. For a standard weight sweat piece, I'd rather buy a more stylized version from someone else that I can wear a lot. For me the appeal of the others are that they're more specialized in fabric/weight and lend themselves to specific wear that a mid weight wouldn't.

>>9693597

It's a general term for regions with warm, dry summers and mild, wet winters.
