They are hard shoes to pull off. Need some slim fit / stacked pants. They actually look better in more "pale" fits. Look really night with skinny light blue YSL / Balmain jeans.

they create problems with pants more often than not, and usually people feel the need to showcase them and they end up looking like an eyesore
I didn't wanna go all 'le raf & rick' but Raf's old collections and even some of his newer ones have the high tops covered by the hem of the pants

low-tops just work better and are more timeless

Reissue is always the better option. You might not notice it know, but the regular sk8 hi's front is a lot less streamlined. Once you notice, you'll hate the chunkyness of it.

That "bump" is not an issue at all. The regular sk8 hi will have that bump as well, unless is the canvas version. The bump is just where the leather hits the vulcanised sole, not some construction issue.

If I have to advise any model of the sk8 hi's, get the Sk8 xtra tuff in white. It's full leather and it's treated to be somewhat weather resistant. Beats a suede/canvas version any day of the week.
