I have something like pic related.

But the problem is the sides aren't blended in to the top so in the opposite side of my face (the side I don't keep my hair hanging) there's stray hair from the top falling to the sides covering most of the buzz. This looks sort of clowny, so should I just have that side blended in?

I'm hesitating because I'm not sure how it would look with two sides being different, and it might look really dumb if I don't want to have my hair laying at one side.

I shower and wash it daily. In that pic it was straightened on the sides and lightly on the front along with the side fringe (cut right to left) and then pushed against itself left to right to give it that bend. Then using vo5 dishevelling putty I pull down the sides, ruffle up the back, gently fix the fringe into that shape and then just fuck up the top until happy with it. Spray to fuck with hairspray, wait for it to dry, then break it up gently with fingers. Just rub the sides to break it up.

That v05 dishevelling putty is good stuff. Had 3 rubs. First was a solid consistency and really good. Nice and light. Recently have been more liquid based. Annoying and have to use more for it to have the same effect. Can easily go overboard.

I have an undercut atm, and I've been told that it doesn't go well with my style, which is prep. MFA is who told me this.

tbh I don't think you'd pull it off. it's a very difficult hairstyle though you can still go for it and hope for the best.

My suggestions are:
Cut your sideburns
Short back and sides, #3 or 4 and make sure they fade it.
Ask for a square neck
Grow out the top
Don't slick it back, it's better sideways, don't use gel use pomade or wax.
