can we talk about grailed scalpers?

this guy bought the cropped cargos for $75 and just reposted it for more than the original asking price.

Sure is nice to see an entrepreneur taking advantage of dumb fucks who waste an unnecessarily large amount of money on shorts hahaha.

75+8 in fees + 20(generous) shipping is 103. $95-105 minimum spent on the pants.

240 minus 103 = 137 minus 8 for pp fees is 131, minus 15-20 for shipping is 110

for a grand total of 10-15 dollars profit.

idk how this kid makes any money, especially if he doesnt sell it for 240

his brain is underdeveloped, at worst hes losing money on this, at best hes making under minimum wage after all the time he spends running back and forth to the post office and wiriting the essays for each piece he sells. his family must be ashamed seeing him trying to sell them cdg on facebook while their friends kids get medical degrees

I'm not on grailed but I do this a fair bit. Cop cheap shit from japan and sell locally for a hundred or so profit. It's really not that bad considering I shop at the same time for shit I want for myself, and if I like anything I wont sell it.

>> No.9628668

>>9628664
that isn't the same though
this is like going to uniqlo, cop all the stuff on sale, and then resell it inside the store for more than the original price.

oh believe me simon i know a thing or two about selling on grailed, point im trying to illustrate is buying a pair of pants for 110 and selling them for 140-180(hes not going to sell them for 240) is not the right way to go about it.

garmentist, bless his little heart, has the right idea as far as brand diversity and stock volume, he just needs to get better at picking the pieces.

i am sure he makes 20-40% profits on most of his stuff but if you're selling shit for 200-300 thats tedious work. at least he provides hilariously trite descriptions for the viewer's enjoyment

>>9628670
thats an automatic thing that happens when someone does the "repost" feature.

everyone post your favourite garmentist item descriptions.

He walks into class. Sunken eyes and a long stride. He dresses well, something to appreciate around here. A nice turtleneck, well-formed but far from tight, looks comfortably worn in. The teacher rambles, your eyes wander. The sweater’s stripes are lean and close together, like bars. You’d like to talk to him but you feel a little intimidated, what to say? I like your sweater. Lame.

Class dismissed, your body aches from sitting so long. From the corner of your eye he’s passing out the door. Vision cast downwards, you’re frowning as you leave.

You run into something pleasantly scratchy. Startled you look up, he’s smirking. Hey.

It's been going on for over a decade.

It's why some people thing random DRKSHDW shorts are trails because "everyone else is selling for more than msrp"

It's actually a really nice luxury if you're not a poorfaf and buy shit NWT. If you don't like an item you can pop it on ebay under a style zeitgeist sounding name and sell you used garments for more than you copped them for during past season sales
