I need some advice. I've already washed the shirt a few times, but I want to remove the front pocket.

I don't like the logo on it. Have heard this can be done, if done carefully, which I will do.

It's not this exact shirt, but similar. Do I have a chance of getting the front pocket removed? Or will it look like shit?

if the thread is too thick then there will be the big chance of getting tips in the fabric due to the holes made by the actual seam

Well originally I thought gesso would dry hard and crack so that's why it's so slathered on. But it ended up being more rubbery. It was less a specific goal and more I wanted to experiment on some beater converse I never wore. Results turned out interesting though so I'm content. Although after looking at some MMM shit and watching some MoMA AB EX videos I kinda have another idea so I'll probably clean them up and experiment a bit more with that. Kinda want to try burning them too but I feel like the canvas will singe into a gross yellow.

What would be the best type of paint to use to recreate the MMM x Converse? I was torn between matte and gesso. Anything else I should be aware of? I remember someone mentioning that you should spray the shoes with waterproof spray so that paint actually flakes off.

>> No.9626266

Make sure the sealant you use is waterproof and matte unless you want shiny shoes for some reason. I don't think gesso is what you'd want because based on alot of the pictures here, it seems to be textured.

One other issue is the line between paint thinning and globs of paint.
