Ugly style that doesn't suit most people but everyone gets them anyway

Plenty of better offerings from Ray-Ban imo.

doen right, they almost always look good, and theyre pretty neutral in terms of aesthetic.

that and thos eplastic ones they make millions of are awesome as a cyclist. so many free sunglasses.

i want them to become high tech. theyre liek the max amount of plastic you cna wear on your face at any given time

Actual Ray Ban Wayfarers: overpriced try-hard crap that's no better than $5 knock-offs

$5 Wayfarer knock-offs: awesome, can find them in a ridiculous amount of frame/lens colors and patterns, I buy a few pairs before every summer because sunglasses always get broken, lost, loaned out, scuffed by sand, etc

Good, pretty generic. Every other person here seems to have one and consider these to be the epitome of eyewear for some reason.

Not a personal fan but i'd be an idiot not to acknowledge they are succesful and #hyped

>>9613759
uh.. are we browsing the same website? ray-ban is shit-tier basic bitch shit and the wayfarer model was already passe by 2012. clubmasters are horribly played out now as well. please understand i am talking about the real world, where super-plebs wear this shit all the time, i don't mean that "played out as according to /fa/"garbage

why not just buy sunglasses that aren't shit

You can get polarized ones for 20 bucks.

>> No.9614631

>>9613825
depending how you treat them the polarized lens will actually flake off over time. My dad had two pairs of oakleys. One badass polarized pair and another pair non polarized. He had the non polarized ones for 7 years and still in impeccable condition. He bought a polarized pair and after one year of regular use they started the edge of the lens started to flake off. I've heard the same shit with ray bans. Polarized looks sweet but not worth it.

I copped some Wayfarers (somehow without knowing exactly this model was so famous, probably still knew it in my unconcious and bought anyways).
Is there a nice possibility to remove the Ray Ban logo from the side? and possibly blacken the silver things on the front?

>> No.9614950

I used to work at Lenscrafters. Feel free to ask me anything. Even though they had shit models/brands.

My store was the biggest in the city so I sold everyone glasses. And I judged hardcore.

Here is what I know about who wears what brand:

Gucci, Fendi, Prada, CHannel - Normally ghetto people - literally only "black people" wear these glasses. Sometime professional women come in an will splurge on them. But no one sensible. They look dumb.

Sometimes rich women would buy Gucci, Miu Miu, or Channel prescription glasses. But they usually got their sun from nicer stores and would be really picky and the more subtle styles with small brand logos.

Armani - My favorite brand usually purchased by quirky wealthy men. Kinda alternative preppy wealthcore. Usually lawyer or entrepreneur types. We didn't sell the best Armani, the glasses you get from their store are wayyy nicer.

Persol - Late 20's and early 30's wanna be hipsters. Like they have more money than style sense but still dress and act cooler than 90%of people. But they obv wished they were a millennial and know their generations sucked.

Rayban - Makes alot of styles really to suite anyone. Everyone from highschoolers to limo drivers to working salary men.

Clubmasters were rarely purchased except by douche bags. Wayfarers are the most popular (except for their wire frames) People were always asking me if wayfarers were in style, they are kinda timeless.

The wire frame raybans are awesome. They can last way longer than plastic glasses. I've put new lenses in wire aviators from the 70's that were in great shape.

Oakley is retarded. I always had people coming in wanting to talk about oakley this, oakley that, who gives a fuck? Unless your on a boat, at a frat party, or snowboarding these have no place on your face.

Brooks brothers was purchased by rich old dudes who wanted value. They look alright and don't cost that much. Usually bankers, accountants, that sort of thing that think they are saving money.

you're removing the few things that idiots care about the most, and if you're going to ever sell these to idiots any time soon you won't sell them for much, akin to cutting a hole where the logo is supposed to be on a polo t shirt and by doing so also exposing a nipple
