Ew no, that makes nasty patches, if you want nice ones use white acrylic paint and a paper stencil. Or screenprint with photo emulsion stuff. But the best is screen printing with paper stencils, especially if you only want to only do 1 or 2 prints of a design.

I used to use any paper.
Lots of times, I'd make something up on the computer, print it out on computer paper (Remember *not* to flip the design), and cut out what I needed to cut out with an X-Acto knife.

After it's cut, just blot most ink over the cuts, I used to use shitty 75 cent acrylic pant from Jo Ann fucking Fabrics. You can use a sponge, or a piece of cloth, most anything will work.

Lift up the stencil, and so long as you were kinda careful, it should come out great.
If you want to use the stencil more than once, I recommend brochure paper.

>This (the truth is out there patch) is from the 22nd Military Airlift Squadron. The unit flies C-5 Cargo aircraft out of Travis Air Force base in California. Carrying out late night operations was part of the 22nd MAS' mission. The MAS picked up classified aircraft from aerospace production plants in Southern California and delivered these aircraft to classified sites for testing and evaluation. When undertaking these missions the MAS crew would replace their everyday patches with this prize possession.

The patch's simple black background and crescent moon perhaps represents the unit's night missions; while the silver border symbolizes starlight and the question denotes classified operations. The letters on the bottom of the patch "NOYFB" stand for "None of your F**king Business."
