So I had a mohwak cut about a year ago. I kept shaving the sides and continued to grow it out.

The only way I can leave the house is if my hair is tied up - otherwise it looks even more ridiculous than it already does.

Pic is current hair. Had to pay $25 for a new uni ID today because my old one was so worn and scratched it no longer worked. I had longer and messier hair like 6 months ago that I bleached, then dyed purple a few weeks later (not sure why) But then I bleached it again and let my roots grow up until last weekend when I did a 1/4inch buzz on the lower sides and the back. I don't use shampoo or conditioner, and wash my hair every other day. Don't use any styling gels or sprays, I just run my hand through it every now and then to get it out of my face.

Very tempted to bleach it all again, since I have leftover chemicals from other bleachings. For now though it's like these long frosted tips on the top of my head lol

That's what I've thought of doing. Not buzzcut short though, that would look a little odd and so many people have that buzz on the sides and back now it's not even funny.

right now im growing it out, and im kind of inbetween now in regards to the top, the sides are still pretty short.

Really wondering what I should do with my hair and looking for advice.

It's very thick and maybe a medium on wavyness. I have a couple of wicked cowlicks (or whatever you call them) on my hairline. Past about 1.5" it does whatever it wants. I comb it left to right as you can see, which I've done my whole life (22 now). Looking for something conservative but cool since I'll be working at a bank. Think young professional, that's what I want.

The problem with my hair is its either dry as fuck or greasy as fuck. When I wash it (I use redken 2 in 1), it dries out terribly and gets frizzy and unmanageable. When I don't wash, it looks like these pics, greasy but still frizzy in places. I really have no idea what to do. I tried no poo and after a couple days it could stand on end. Unfortunately I don't have the time to go no poo for a month and let it get better. I tried using American Crew Fiber paste and even the smallest amount of that made my hair look super greasy (it was uneven too, geasy in some places and dry in others, even when I evenly worked it through). And it doesn't hold for the full day either.

Basically just looking for some advice. I just got my hair cut, #4 on sides and shorter and blended on top. The top is about 1-1.5" right now. My case should be pretty easy but I'm sorry I cant help more because I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for lol.

Honestly.. I dunno what to do, I came to /fa/ because I REALLY need help, had long hair since the 5th grade. just can't get a good short hair hair style to fit my face.
