Should I care about the origin of my clothes? It'd be nice if all of my clothes were made in first-world countries, but that seems incredibly expensive to achieve.

An acceptable alternative would be brands like Patagonia, who are very transparent about their labor practices, but most brands are not and will just tell you it's "imported."

Last time I was in Nieman Marcus I was disgusted that they wanted $300 for pants made in China.

I think it's admirable and forward-thinking to actively buy products made under certain conditions and reject those made under other conditions. If a change in labor practices and product quality is possible, it starts with conscious consumers. Will your singular choice matter in the grand scheme of things? Probably not, but if it makes you feel good then go for it. If you're seriously concerned about the issue, get involved with an organization or group that is doing something about it.

Have $4k to blow, looking to spend it on a full canvassed blazer and 2 suits (BB 1818s), my reasoning is that I have more use for blazer than suit until I have moved up the corporate ladder.
However, my dilemma is that there aren't many fabrics and colours to choose from within my budget for blazer, so far I've found Canalis, BB golden fleeces, RLBLs.

What's /fa/'s opinion of full canvas, do you think the price justifies the construction? Should I go for half-canvassed blazer/suit and 1 full canvas suit instead to get more choices, or not bother with full canvass at all until I hit my mid 30s and my physique has settled.
