I was considering the Speedmaster Professional moonwatch earlier on, but now I tried this one, the classic just seems so mediocre - don't get me wrong, I love the design, but the new 1957 co-axial was just amazing, from the cronograph functions to the titanium tachymetre and superluminova hands.

Just trying to justify buying it I guess lol, I do have the money but i was considering saving them - oh well...

Before asking, yes, I own a lot of Delma watches.

These watches are relatively unknown outside Switzerland. These are manufactured in the small town of Lengnau, which I used to live in.

I knew a person that worked as a watch maker there, so he managed to sell me these watches (which use ETA movements) at a 80% discount.

So, why the fuck not, right?

If you're talking about true in-house German watches, your choices are probably Lange, GO, Dornbluth and Nomos.

Nomos is your most affordable, you could get a second hand tangente for around $1k I think. It's not 100% in house. Escapement, jewels and shock protection off the top of my head are outsourced. However, I feel they're probably going to start updating their watches with the new in-house escapement soon.

42mm is a little bit over what would work for a 6 inch wrist.
black watches are generally a no go. unless you can get either a ceramic case or a DLC coated case (both of which are generally expensive) the black coating on a watch is 100% guaranteed to rub off in a few years.
black hands on a black dial are also shit tier as far as functionality goes. I'd recommend that you rethink what you want in a watch because you won't find anything quality with the all-black look you're after.

So I'm trying to replace this abysmal rubber strap and match up a NATO strap to my Citizen NY2300. idiots wouldn't keep the game alive with their random dollars if it wasn't a tcg

mtg lives today because you have joe schmoe idiot paying $20 to 0-5 an fnm, spend $100 on a booster box

build a dragon's tribile deck to go 2-3 once, consider that great then go 0-5 the next week buy more cards and eventually quit after several thousands poured into the game

you have dudes on /tg/ who spend $50 in singles for only the good cards to play to win

Quartz watches are shitty; more money spent is more money wasted unless the design is unique.

Longines Hydroconquest, that exact model is ref L3.695.4.53.6 but there are other colors (blue is probably the most popular), sizes (41 and 39mm afaik) and dials/movement variations (most people seem to like older version with markers instead of numerals but it comes with less fancy movement) also available in quartz version that's most likely way cheaper
it does pretty good so far for non-chronometer, +1s/day
