The ones you and the posted look a lot like the ones in the styleforum GAT thread. Theres a guy there called zeemon that sells them for like $80. I think its just a marked up price of the same shoe you posted because zeemon is a proxy. Probably the same for grailed. You seem to have the source so they are cheaper.

Just got these beautiful GL3. First pair of white shoes since a long time and I love them.
I have a question about that pinroll thing guys: I'm thinking about pinrolling my jeans when I wear those shoes, but also I think it's somehow feminine. I don't want the shoes to get black stains from the jeans though. What do you think?

Surplus usually is great quality for low price.
Also technically the surplus GATs are Adidas shoes since they were designed by Adi and manufactured in Adidas factories (at least originally) so really I would just get the surplus ones if possible.

I even bought like an old alligator leather handbag and salvaged the skin for making a new tongue for the GATs but it didn't work because it was to dry so I sticked with african python leather

Nah, the metal from one of the holes was even partially under the gum of the shoe. It's hard to tell from the picture but on the other shoe the holes were a full 1-2 cm higher and really crooked.

I'd agree but they are also SO uncomfortable, it feels like wearing shoes made of cardboard. Also they had a lot of bad looking wrinkles before I even put them on. I would expect extremely ugly creasing to happen after like... a single wear. These came out to be $70 after shipping and tax, so I'd definitely just recommend saving up for something a little better.

I tried some similar shoes on from Topman and they were almost equally as bad but a bit more chunky, so I'd also highly recommend staying away from those.

Jack Purcells are my favorite white sneaker. I bought a pair of the new canvas ones a year ago and they look great, really wanna get a pair of the old leather ones.

They really aren't chunky at all, and they have just so much character in my opinion. Shame Converse had to gimp the quality so hard.

Anybody else a fan? Feel like the only one who loves these fuckers this much

Stupid question incoming. I was on the Maison Margiela e-boutique earlier since I'm planning on buying some Margiela GATs. I noticed that, occasionally, the same shoe would be sold under the same name. There's an regular version and an avant version. I inspected the descriptions and the accompanying images, and they seem to be the same shoe. What's the difference?
