You may need to be slim to be /fa/, but you don't need to be slim to be fashionable. It's easier to be fashionable when you're in shape, but it's definitely not impossible to if you're not, as long as you're not fat.

"fashionable" is subjective and if you disagree with /fa/'s fundamentals there is no reason for anyone to hang around. there are plenty of other fashion communities on the internet that view fashion differently than /fa/.
when someone says that they want to be "/fa/" it means they specifically want to be fashionable based on the standards of /fa/. having the right body type is probably the most essential thing if you want to be considered "/fa/".
