"fashionability" isn't some platonic Form to which only the oracles have access. it's entirely dependent upon what audience or crowd you're in. even within the 'upper echelon' of runway couture, there's no consensus on what's fashionable. fashionability isn't monolithic or stable.

there are definitely circles in which the visvim look is very fashionable; in which people dress in that fashion.
