this is a slightly flamboyant fratty outfit (due to the shoes mostly) but otherwise it's what I like to wear. Sleeves rolled up to the elbows is good.

Brooks Bros and J Crew are your friend. I stay away from clothing with big logos on it. Also stay away from 'fratty' brands like Vineyard Vines and Chubbies because they're shit quality aimed at tryhards.

It's not /fa/, but it's fashionable. People in your photo are not doing it right. Color and pastels are great, but the last 5 years have sprouted a flamboyant try-hard style of frat-fashion that any guy who is pledging throws on and thinks makes him appear confident to his brothers and the girls.

Never heard of Guy Harvey so I couldn't tell you on that one. Stick with traditional and reputable companies or you can go with cheap ones if you don't plan on wearing it long after college. Also get your white dress shirts from Costco (go with the spread collar, slim fit) cus if you're doing a lot of partying you'll go through those pretty quickly.

also unless you know which frat you want to be in (the rich kid frat, the bro-y frat, the athlete frat, the nerd frat, etc) stick with simpler clothing (polo and bermuda shorts or chinos, depending on weather) when you show up to rush you can fit in at all of them.

Firstly, don't even try to dress in a prep style if you're not already accustomed to it. If you don't do your research you will end up looking like a retard, no exceptions.

But since I can't convince you not to do this, here's a few basic rules to follow:

>never wear a tie without a coat
>never wear flip flops unless you're on a beach

I'm sure I skipped a lot of the basics, and there's way more that don't always apply. If you fuck it up you will look like a total goober and it's very easy to fuck up.

I live on an island off the cost of Maine. In the summer tons of rich kids come here, with their rich families, and they dress like this. I'm in high school and one of the few people who dresses like this, although many people here sail. There is a large community. I live on an island off the coast of Maine. Lots of rich families have summer homes here, and they all sail and fit the stereotype perfectly, but at my high school there is a sailing team and none of the kids on that really dress that way. I have a boat myself and I sail with the summer kids. Besides the typical prep teen look, they wear brotanks, sperries, and chubbies.
Covered the back because it gives away my location.

I'm a junior and the majority people I've talked to think frats are overall rude, disrespectful and not a place you want to party. I know a handful of people who've gotten kicked out of frats for not knowing the right people, been sexually abused or have gotten in physical fights. kek

Seersucker is supposed to have a looser fit because it's meant for weather when it's too hot or humid to wear a regular suit. You don't want pit stains in your seersucker. I got mine at Dillard's on sale for $120.

I'd be hesitant with getting a bigger one. We had a 64 foot sailboat donated to our frat back when I was a Junior in 08'. The next year I was treasurer and the docking fees and maintenance on the stupid thing severely limited our finances. It was about an extra 17K in dead money in the budget which could have gone towards much more needed housing renovations.

I have no idea what your fees would be in SoCal but ours just outside of Boston were absolutely absurd. Not to mention that in the winter it had to be stored on land due to the ice.

I believe they sold it in 2011 for a million something and gave some compensation to the original donor then redid the basement and all of the bedrooms.
