i don't think i would use pomade but mousse would be another option; definitely don't opt for cheap shit though. shu uemura makes some nice stuff. and you could combine it with a bit of wax/spray for extra hold since thin hair is really susceptible to flyaway as you probably know

a lot more separation/scalp visibility occurs or is at least more likely to occur with longer thin hair so i would recommend keeping it shorter. definitely longer on top. i probably couldn't give a useful figure re: specific lengths, maybe 3-5 inches. google sen mitsuji -- he has pretty thin hair + a shit hairline that's evident in the more casual/undoctored photos of him, but it's made to work well on him

What should I do to stop this from happening? I've been using American Crew Fiber and it doesn't really hold that well and just turns into an ugly blob on my forehead. Don't feel like I can go straight back either and I'm not sure if that's because my bangs are too long or too short or if my hair is just too springy or something.

Anyone here with asian hair have a way to deal with their hair from standing up besides perms, wearing a hat forever or never washing your hair? I have roughly short hair (About 2in) and I've been skipping shampoo and avoiding washing out my hair's oils every two days and it still doesn't do the trick.

I got tired of long hair, since in high school I had that whole scene/emo look going for me. Even then my hair would stick up in the back and the sides would puff out. I fear that there is no way around this.

So I've been growing out my hair and I generally am really liking long hair.

Someone said my hair is a bit boring though so I am thinking, will getting long layers at my next cut be good to spice it up a bit?
Is it flattering for me? I really like long hair but that same person also said long hair is unflattering on me.

I also do overnight waves/curls, is that better for long hair rather than keeping it straight or is the smooth straight hair look nice? I see most girls I know with this look and they seem to be doing just fine.

I wash it with cold water, shampoo only scalp, condition bottom half, and do this only twice a week.
I use an anti-frizz serum after washing then when it dries I use a leave-in conditioner by Garnier.
I have also just started massaging my scalp with oil and covering the rest of my hair in oil for the rest of the day until I shower at night this week, and am thinking of doing it once a week (Combo of Safflower oil, Vitamin E, and Grapeseed oil).

What else can I do? Should I continue seeing how the oil goes? I am thinking of ordering Argan or Coconut oil.

So I've got thick, slightly wavy hair, and I think this may be my new hair goal. Unfortunately, I can't grow a beard for shit. Would not having a beard possibly hurt the overall look even if I have a pretty good jawline?

Also, what styling technique (if any) can I use to get those wispy edges and what product should be used?
