Poor non-/fa/ college fag here.
I've been operating on a budget of around $250 for the last two years.
~50 a pile of black pants on clearance from the supermarket.
~100 Hat, scarf, dry cleaning my coat
~25 Tennis Shoes
~75 Business casual shirts and sweaters from thrift store.
So that's about $10 a month.

>> No.9504298

I organize my money around necessary things and savings, with around 150$ in free spending money every month, which is either saved for the next month or spent on food/clothes/etc.Currently have 80$ which will be used on a trip to LA on Saturday or for my girlfriend or whatever.

I used to take the scorched earth approach of just replacing my entire wardrobe every three to five years. I would generally put about ~3k into that, not counting the suits

I've recently started replacing stuff as needed by donating it to goodwill every three or four months, instead of just letting a piece of clothing sit in the closet and never be worn for a year or two.

I just bought three half zip sweaters and two cashmere V necks this week, and I plan to buy about ten new dress shirts over the next month.

to make you feel less stupid OP i would say that you CAN invest in clothing under specific circumstances. an obvious example, a decent suit could yield a return by helping you get a job. how much the suit actually helped you with that is unquantifiable. you could also flip sneakers or whatever.

but we all knew this because these nerds are just arguing semantics like little smarmy twerps

Well, let's see.

I spend about 100 dollars a year on clothing, if you include the price of detergent and borax necessary to (occasionally) wash my cum and body oils out of my Wal-Mart Hanes v-necks (I buy like a pack of 10 for 12 dollars and wear them until they fall apart) and lounge pants (goddamned 6 dollars a pair).

I also occasionally have to buy a new shirt for work, when mine get holes in them or whatever, and you gotta have socks and underwear my nigga.

Thankfully, my cumclunkers (that's what I call my 8 year old crocs that I wear around the house) and my footmuffs (my dearfoam scuffs covered with snot, semen, piss, etc) have held up well, so I'll just throw the latter out when they start to grow mold or smell (too) funny. When I have to travel outside to go to work or buy food, I wear only THE FINEST all-black 8 year old NB sneakers I got on clearance for 25 dollars and which have about four holes each, OR (That's right, you poor losers, I have TWO pairs of shoes) my (fake) black leather bluchers I paid FIFTY WHOLE FUCKING DOLLARS for six years ago.

When I'm feeling especially jaunty, I bust out my 5 year old baseball cap that stinks so heartily of my greasy hair and sweat that I can find it in the dark with just my nose.

So, about 8.30 USD?

Shit, I better back it down, I'm getting way too fucking bourgeois. I gotta save some of my income for benadryl and cheeseburgers, after all.
