I tattooed some small dots on my hand when I was 12 or 13 and regretted it ever since.
Don't get it you can't hide them so if you ever apply for an job you might get fucked because off them.
Luckily mine are so small that I can easily have them cut out.

you should just get something that you like and that means something to you.
I think that it's better if your tattoos have a story to tell, and if you can look at them in a few years and remember what you had in mind when you got it.
I wouldn't get a tat on my finger as many people will be able to see it, thus blocking you for very formal jobs.
but that's just my opinion

Dude don't get it. I can tell by your language you don't frequent here and let me tell you what - the tattoo crowd that appreciates it all live in their little bubble of "who cares, I like it!" type of deal. So you'll talk to them and they will be like "yeah man, you should do it. Places shouldn't discriminate against it" these are the same people who think stretching your ears into oblivion is okay, or the same people who came from a family who said "no" so the first thing they do is go out and grab a tat or get a tacky piercing when they turn 18.
Tats can be neat. My girlfriend has a bear on her arm, and it is small enough that it is just a neat tat instead of a full on tacky deer on her hand that you can't hide.

I mean hands also are changing shape as you age, so it will look like shit too.

I'm on an IT engineering school. As a programmer i work on the shadow, bosses don't really care about how I look. We have so much profiles here, tatooed, piercings, holes in their ears and stuff. This deer is pretty awful as a tatoo on hands, it was just a stupid example. I'm looking for something minimalist. I'm just askign you to provide pictures, not to tell my life, i'm already an adult

Just remember that finger tattoos fade and blur the worst of any tattoos bar those on the inside of your palm. So avoid anything that relies on bright colour or fine detail

That being said have you given anythought to a tattoo on the side of you finger in this style (although not a harry potter design).
