recently got a haircut, was quite content with it but i feel as if the sides could've been done shorter

i'm not sure how i should be styling the top, i have curly hair and if i try to slick it back abit of the fringe portion ends up curling up at the side, so ive kinda been pushing it to the left and it's been meh

sometimes it looks good sometimes it looks bad, ill take another pic when it's daytime but what do you faglords think?

Quit the bieber thing, your hair is too flat and with the length it doesnt compliment your faceshape, if you wanna keep it long then try some different hairstyles - but would probably say that you should have it cut, short on the sides, higher on top, play around a bit, but I dont think a narrow style would fit you

I'm looking for a new haircut or maybe letting my hair grow. However, I'm unsure of what's the shape of my head, which one has to take into consideration, by what I could gather. Can someone more versed on this stuff tell me what's the shape of my head and, if possible, which hairstyle I should try?

Oval face shapes can wear most haircuts, both round haircuts and square ones, a round face needs a square cut and vice versa, your hair doesnt look bad with your faceshape, but if you want a more "defined" hairstyle you should have the sides and neck tapered, by grow it out I mean just try to let it grow, it could give you some inspiration in itself, you might find out that it suits you... As for what you could do right now, I would say try out some different stuff... Maybe comb the sides back and do a bit of a sidepart? Play around a bit

Make the effort to go somewhere that specialises in black peoples hair, don't just go to a regular barber because they're more likely to fuck you up. Don't think that they won't though, I had a different barber recently and I didn't tell him properly what I wanted and he's slightly fucked me up.

One simple rule, get a fade. No matter what's going on with your hair, a fade will improve it every time, make sure they don't take it up too high though, only until where your head starts to curve inwards.

I reckon you could probably just get a fade, a shape up, and chuck some curl activator in your hair and it'd look so much better.

Pic is a decent hairstyle that you could probably wear (just ask for a high top fade if you want it, sorry for low res)

Yo fellas,

Glad I found this thread. I'm going to the hairdresser tomorrow morning, and I'm still not sure what I should tell her. As you can see I already went to bed lol.

Crappy photo I know, but thought I'd show you guys my messed up hair. Usually use a gel, but didn't have time for it this morning, so it's been a "messy-hair-day" today.

Anyways, do you guys have any suggestions for a hairstyle I could get? I want it short and sharp, but I tend to always end up with the same hairstyle, and it bores me!

Certainly not. I'd just say get the front cut a tad longer after everything's said and done and spend a little time working it before you go out. With a little bit of a heavier product the curls won't seize up quite as much.

I've got mad puffy curly hair too and it usually works out alright for me. I can't rock this style, though, I've got receding temples.

You need to grease it with a promade like Brylcreem and the problem alot of people make is going to high up on their head which makes it look all macklemore, make sure your barber or hairdresser doesnt cut it to high up because then it looks dreadful. also you could get it done as a two part undercut like Jake's two part undercut similar to brad's, pic relevant.

You could go for either a sort of pomade or just something with a petrolatum in it, like some of the coconut oil conditioners.

I use Murray's Pomade occasionally, which is almost certainly supposed to be for black people, but I tend to use black peoples' hair products a lot anyways. It's difficult to wash out and it sticks to hands like a motherfucker, but it makes for nice, collected, looser curls, if you style it right.

Here's my face and my hair. The three inset photos show the hairstyle I've had since October. I tried going for a Ryan Gosling type cut, but it's since grown out. I'm not sure if I should cut it shorter or let it go a bit more.

The beard is a work-in-progress and I'm looking for any and all tips on maintaining it.

As far as fashion, this is my first post on /fa/. I wore jeans and a bunch of Hawaiian shirts when the earlier picture was taken. Now I'm more into blue jeans and shirts like this one.

last cut was probably 1.5-2 months ago now, so obviously it needs cleaning up. my top is curly to the point of being a massive pain in my ass, while the back and sides are mostly straight.

trying to grow out the top until it can drape a little bit, so probably gonna go the undercut route. worth trying to get the pushed back look once it gets past awkward length on the top? what products would you suggest to keep it under control? this was taken <5min ago, it's chilled out after weighing itself down all day. typically it's a lot springier and stubborn.

any suggestions welcome.
