I've owned both in all black and I used my ramones much more than the geos (i ended up selling the geos)

Ramones felt more appropriate with all of my fits, much more versatile imo. I'm thinking of getting a second pair in the black and white colorway like OPs pic

That said, low ramones are versatile enough to be worn with a lot more outfits, more so than say Geos or Ramone boots.

I have the Waxed canvas and mesh ramones, they're great in Summer. But even leather isn't too bad in summer, the only shoes I've actually been bothered about have been qasas, the neoprene they use traps heat like a motherfucker

Thanks for the advice. I plan on rotating them as well, and to basically treat them like I would leather boots in terms of care. Shoe trees, the occasional conditioning, not wearing them two days in a row, etc. I want these things to last a long, long time.

I'm considering getting a heel tap as well.

Definitely. I think I like Geobaskets more in terms of liking the shoe, but less in terms of wearing it. There's just this casual coolness about the Ramones sneaker, and switching or removing the laces seems to change its identity much more than doing the same on a Geobasket.

Clothes as an identity means a lot to me, and wearing a Geobasket might feel more like a uniform, especially the black/white colorway. That's why I leaned towards the blacked out version instead.

I actually think the idea of someone mistaking the ramones for converse is kind of cool. There's a strange sense of psychological comfort from gaining enough confidence through clothing to not care what people think about them. I really like that feeling.
