Hi /fa/

I'm an amerifat (25.5 BMI) jew with midlength floofy hair. I sometimes swim which also damages it, but I haven't been swimming much. It's also very humidity sensitive.

I ususally keep it 1.5-3 inches, but I'm thinking of growing it out. Right now it's being maximum floofy and looking odd. I have to slick it down and to the side and over time it poofs up in a not-bad way; I'd slick it back except my hairline is receding and it doesn't look as good (though I don't care that much in principle, aside from getting laid).

I also have a short beard. I'm thinking of continuing to grow it out; is this wise? What kind of haircut do I get? I probably need something, to look kempt, but I don't want much.

My hair, not my beard. Also I don't like products that much; if I want to go oily I'll just not shampoo for a few days. I think it kind of looks good oily, too, based on reactions. But that might just be because it looks like I put in effort at styling it, which is attractive.

I find that the best styles to pull off due to asian hair being so straight and stubborn is to either have it really short or long. short crew cut if you're head shape is nice, long like asian guy on walking dead, or some type of undercut (short on side, long on top). If you have any bangs, you just look like a fob.

I'd work on an undercut from looking at your pic. It's really overdone but just depends on the crowd you hangout with

That said, that dude has tighter hair than me ans is pretty much going all natural which I do now. He did go shaved in some pics which was interesting but his head shape allows that, mine doesn't.

Thanks for the input tho. It's a starting point. I get all my cuts and gels for free so I can do any suggestion with no cost restraints.

Cut it? When my hair gets long that is too hard to maintain and ends up looking bad or losing shape from humidity throughout the day.

I'd cut it down until it's low enough to retain its curls but no longer than 1.5-2 inches off the top of your head, followed by wetting it, drying it (mostly) and adding some modelling clay to it and letting it air dry and then fix any imperfections.

It has worked for me for a while to use that stuff since it beats out the humidity and doesn't require special shampoos to remove the chemicals.

Thanks for the pic. my face is slightly longer than I'd like it to be IMO so I try to avoid things like this but I could give it a shot. I could do a test model of it where I do the same style but with longer hair to get a feel for it and if it won't work I could even it out since I will be doing a higher cut.

Ive always wanted to grow my hair out to see how it looks like. Im in the awkward stage now where my hair isnt too long and it isnt short enough to maintain either.

Do i have the potential to pull it off or should i just stick to shorter hair? I just copped the Corrupt Youth 5 panel mystery box in case i decide to keep grow it out.
