When you're growing your hair out, make sure your hair isn't dry, because that's how you get breakage. Moisturize with water+essential oils (people suggest coconut, olive, and jojoba oils), seal with a coating product.

Depends on you hair type. I have fairly coarse hair, so I use Mane and Tail as a leave-in, and shea butter. Of course make sure your shea is ethically sourced.

Styling is one thing but every style will look like shit if your hair isn't MOISTURIZED. So how do you guys do it? My hairs about 5 inches long right now and I still haven't been able to get the moisturizing part down. Plus frizz is also a bitch.

I'm not a big fan of globbing a bunch of heavy product into my hair daily, as that tends to cause my face to breakout.

Use a spray bottle with 3 parts water and 1 part whatever oil of your choice, and also use a leave in conditioner. I reccomend, Avlon's KeraCare Hair Milk. It's light and also works as a detangler.

I use conditioner daily, and spray bottle (just with water) daily. I use a spray bottle with oil and water like every other day give and take. Don't want to get too much oil in your hair.

unfortunately, there are alot of options, and what works for one person maynot work for you.
that being said, I would go to curly nikki and comb through the conditioners she's reviewed and see if there are any you like.

I use a cantu deep conditioner myself.

but I am on the market for something different, as I think I'm going to try anon's oil/water spray bottle method.
