>fabric from which even high-end pieces fast after a handful of washes

What is with the infatuation with denim when it's a shit material? I'm not even trolling, someone please explain as I have never understood

Dude, this is a fashion board. Did it not occur to you that it's worn because of the way it looks?

I don't get upset when people wear it, I just genuinely don't understand why it's a staple, particularly when it is seldom done well

You can rip them and it's okay. You can stain them and they just get better.

Double ziploc bag, stick it in the freezer. This way you only have to wash them 3-6 times a year for MAXIMUM ENDURANCE

there is no getting around the fact that washing your clothes eventually fucks them up.

>try not washing clothes unless they really need it
>if you dont mind washing your clothes by hand do it
>if you use a machine wash denim by itself and not with other darks
>powder detergent won't turn your clothes blue or green like liquid detergent
>don't use the dryer

Would the same go for black jeans as well?

I did the mistake of machine washing them and they came out smaller and faded.
